Board and management

The Board of the Swedish Film Institute Foundation is made up of nine members appointed by the government. Members serve for a three year term, which may be extended. The board meets roughly eight times per year.

Göran K Johansson (Chairman)

Born in 1955, Göran K Johansson graduated in Economics. Prior to joining the SFI he was Chairman and CEO of Concerts Sweden (Stiftelsen Svenska Rikskonserter). Previously he has been the CEO of Malmö Opera & Musikteater, Göteborgs Stads Upphandling, Hogia Godstrafik and Hogia Communications.

Anna Croneman (Vice Chairman)

Anna Croneman is a producer and co-owner of Bob Film Sweden AB. She studied at the Dramatiska Institutet and has been active as a producer since 1998. She was previously chair of the film section of Film- och TV-producenternas förening (the Swedish association of film and TV producers), and is currently also on the board of the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Anna Croneman was born in 1968.

Jessica Bjurström

Jessica Bjurström is CEO of the Swedish Association of Communications Agencies and was previously Head of Division for Schibsted, acting CEO of the Swedish Sponsorship and Event Association, Business Development Manager of TV4 and Production Manager at Lowe Brindfors.

Anna Carrfors Bråkenhielm

Anna Carrfors Bråkenhielm has worked in TV production since 1991. She was Managing Director of Strix Television from 1996-2005. Anna founded Talpa Scandinavia and Silverback, and was MD of the company between 2006 and 2010. She is currently the MD of Passion for Business, a business and lifestyle magazine for women which she founded. Anna is also a member of the board of Brombergs Förlag publishers, and the Swedish government Council for Cultural and Creative Industries. Anna Carrfors Bråkenhielm was born in 1966. 

Anki Dahlin

Anki Dahlin has been Director General of the Swedish Media Council, Director General of The National Swedish Board of Film Classification and Department Director of the Swedish Institute.

Maaret Koskinen

Maaret Koskinen is a Professor of Cinema Studies at Stockholm University. She has been Head of the Department of Cinema Studies, chair of the Swedish Federation of Film Critics, a member of the Swedish Broadcasting Commission and the Guldbagge gold jury, and has published books including the August Prize nominated I begynnelsen var ordet. Ingmar Bergman och hans tidiga författarskap on Ingmar Bergman’s early writings, and Ingmar Bergman’s THE SILENCE. Pictures in the Typewriter, Writings on the Screen for University of Washington Press (2010). Maaret Koskinen was born in 1951.

Tarik Saleh

Tarik Saleh, one of the founders of the film company Atmo, was the presenter of Swedish Television's popular programme "Elbyl" in the 1990s. He was one of the makers of the highly-acclaimed GITMO - the New Rules of War and is also the director of Metropia. Tarik Saleh was born in 1972.

Per Strömbeck

Per Strömbäck is the spokesperson for Swedish Games Industry, and the editor of Netopia – the forum for digital social issues. He has previously been a games developer (Monsterland) and games publisher (PAN Vision), and has held various positions in the music industry. Per is editor of the anthology Gratis? (Volante, 2009) and has been a member of the board of Interactive Software Federation Europe (ISFE). Per Strömbäck was born in 1973.

Staffan Truvé

Staffan Truvé is CEO of the Interactive Institute and the Swedish Institute of Computer Science. He has also been a board member of the Swedish National Archive of Recorded Sound and Moving Images. A doctor of technology and graduate economist, Staffan Truvé was born in 1963.
