"Lars has a solid background, with experience not just as a producer, but also as a screenwriter and director. His prime focus is on quality, but through his work at Stockholms Stadsteater and in the films he has produced, he has demonstrated that you can reach out to large audiences with plays and films of the highest artistic merit. He has a keen feel for what is new and outstanding. Lars' boldness combined with his expertise, sound judgement, social skills and calm northern Swedish temperament are excellent qualities for a film commissioner. We are delighted to welcome him to the Swedish Film Institute."
