Sju svenska filmer har valts ut till den 45:e upplagan av den prestigefyllda internationella filmfestivalen Karlovy Vary i Tjeckien, många av dem med starka relationsteman. Festivalen pågår 2 – 10 juli.

Jörgen Bergmark's black comedy about marital relations, A Rational Solution (Det enda rationella) is competing in the Horizons section for recent productions from around the world. And fresh from success at Cannes, Ola Simonsson and Johannes Stjärne Nilsson's music romp Sound of Noise will compete in Open Eyes, a section for the "latest outstanding works".
Two Swedish films will feature in the main documentary section: the Peruvian family chronicle Familia by Mikael Wiström and Alberto Herskovits, and Anna Juhlin's short, The Poet of the Elephant House (Poeten i Elefanthuset), a film about her grandfather, Lütfi Özkök.
The mother-son drama Miss Kicki by Håkon Liu with Pernilla August in the lead is one of ten European films competing in Variety magazine's Critics’ Choice section.
And finally, Good Advice (Goda råd) by Andreas Tibblin, about young brotherly love, and Patrik Eklund's drama of sexual frustration Seeds of the Fall (Slitage) will be screened in The Best of Prague Short Film Festival section.
