The duties of the Swedish Film Institute include preserving and make availble Sweden's film heritage and representing Swedish film internationally. The Film Institute also hosts the annual Guldbagge ceremony, where those who have made the most outstanding contributions to Swedish film during the previous year are presented with their well-deserved awards.
